On August 14, 1956, he married Corinne Mae Rebb, in a ceremony officiated by Judge Moran. Vic was employed by Widrick & Sons in Lowville as a mechanic for 40 years. He and Corinne made their home in Martinsburg until moving to Trinity, Alabama, where they resided with their grandson, David, and his Ingersoll family.

He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 70 years, Corinne; two sons, Martin A. (Susan) Ingersoll of Gresham, SC; and Dion P. (Valerie) Ingersoll of Moulton, AL; a daughter-in-law, Corinna M. “Sam” (Rick) Greenfield, Clarksville, TN; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by two brothers, Robert (Cindy) Ingersoll and Harvey (Mary) Ingersoll, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Victor was predeceased by four brothers, Walter S. (Evelyn) Ingersoll, Edward O. (Theresa) Ingersoll, Donald N. (Reba) Ingersoll, and George H. (Muriel) Ingersoll.

Victor was a proud 50-year member of the Martinsburg Fire Department, and a member of the American Legion in Albany, New York.
