GLENFIELD - Stanton E. Lisk III, 56, of Blue Street died early Wednesday morning, March 09, 2011 at his home under the care of his family and Lewis County Hospice. Stanton was born in Fort Gordon, Georgia on October 11, 1954 the son of Stanton E. and Vera J. Stiles Lisk, Jr., he graduated from South Lewis Central School in 1973, and attended Canton ATC. Stanton married Bonnie Crofoot on August 16, 1975 at St. Hedwig's Catholic Church, Houseville with Rev. Rupert, pastor and Rev. Sharp officiating. Stanton and Bonnie made their home on Blue Street where he purchased his grandparents dairy farm in 1975 and his parent's farm in 1979, and operated them both until 1995. At that time, the farm was sold and he began custom corn planting for Marks Farms. He also worked for Hydro-Kare, Inc. since 1985 as plant operator and officer of the corporation. His duties included the daily maintenance and operation of hydro electric power plants. Stanton was a member of the Lowville B.P.O.E. Lodge 1605, and past member of the Sons of the American Legion. He enjoyed bowling for Lowville Sport & Farm, taking his family on cruises and spending time with his friends. He is survived by his wife Bonnie, their two children, a son, Todd Stanton Lisk of Glenfield; and a daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Derrick Helms of Thurman; his mother, Vera Lisk of Lyons Falls; his sisters and brother and their spouses, Lori and John Collado of Wells; Debra and John LeBow of Candia, NH; Michael and Sheila Lisk of Glenfield; and Barbara and Scott Graham of Oakfield; nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his father Stanton E. Lisk, Jr. A funeral service will be on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 11:00am at the Sundquist Funeral Home with Rev. Naomi Kelly, pastor of the Forest Presbyterian Church, Lyons Falls, officiating. Spring burial will be in Old Glendale Cemetery.
