CROGHAN - Shawn M. Garrison, 43, died on Friday morning, June 14, 2019 at Lewis County General Hospital after becoming ill at home.

Mr. Garrison was born on October 23, 1975 in Lowville the son of the Maynard A. West and Janet J. Flint.  Shawn attended Lowville Academy and Central School. He has held various jobs in the area and working at Mountain Community Home, Ft. Drum as Head of Maintenance on call, and most recently for Delta Flooring in Boonville as a lumber grader and band saw operator.

He married Kelly M. Genito on August 9, 2014 at Black Pond with Thomas Osborne, Jr. officiating. The couple made their home on the Erie Canal Road where Shawn just finished remolding their home. Shawn was a motorhead he enjoyed rebuilding and riding motorcycles, an avid outdoorsman who like to hunt and fish. Shawn loved spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife, Kelly, his children, Zackary M. Garrison; Nichole L. Garrison; his step daughter, Candace L. Genito; Devin M. and Harley Quinn Garrison; his two grandchildren, Bentley Parker Garrison and Kyanna Julia Maria Michelson; his brothers, Maynard A. West, Jr. and Christopher (Cher) Garrison; his sisters, Cynthia Stone; Michelle Kirch; and Kathy (Dudley) Rombough and families; his mother, Janet Moody, his father and mother-in-law, Gary and Sherry Genito and their families; and his cousins. He is predeceased by his father Maynard "Klondyke" West, and his very good friend and brother-in-law, Gary D. Genito, Jr.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Sundquist Funeral Home. Burial will be in Beaches Bridge Cemetery.

Calling hours for family and friends will be on Tuesday, June 18th from 5 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
