TURIN – Ronald F. Smith, 71, died early morning, December 31, 2020 at the home of his brother-in-law and care giver, Leroy (Bridgett) Platt, Jr., Ronnie was also under the care of hospice.

Ron was born on January 26, 1949 in Floyd, the son of the late Francis and Mary Smith. He married Christine Platt on May 26, 1993 in Lowville and the couple resided on Church Street and Willow Landing (801 Housing). He was employed at Lewis County Industries.

He loved watching birds, drawing and spending time with family.

He is survived by his wife Christine, their son, Peter Francis Smith. Three sisters, Margaret, Pauline, Bonnie and two brothers, Glenn, and Paul.

A graveside service will be on Wednesday, April 28th at 2:30 P.M. at Beaches Bridge Cemetery.
