Obituary

LOWVILLE - Rasiklal S. Vora, 86, died peacefully on Monday, March 5, 2018 at Lewis County General Hospital with family at his side.

Mr. Vora was born on March 8, 1931 in Dhrangadhra , India , the son of the late Shantilal C. and Kanchanben (Shah) Vora. Rasiklal received his Bachelor of Law degree from Elphinstone College in Mumbai , India . He was the Principal of Vivekananda College of Law, Ahmedabad , India for over 25 years.

Rasiklal and his wife Bhanumati Kothari were united in marriage on May 13, 1954 in Limbdi , India and celebrated 63 years of marriage. Rasiklal was proud of his military service and served active duty for six years from 1962-1968, then was recalled for a short period in 1971. He retired as a Major in the Army Service Corps, India .

He is survived by his wife, Bhanumati, their three children and spouses, Anjana (Nitin) Shah; Manoj R. (Sheree) Vora; and Malini (Bhavesh) Adani; his eight grandchildren, Krina, Hiral, Anshumi, Amber, Namrata, Shamaa, Pooja, Akash; a great-grandson, Pratham and a great-granddaughter, Hiya. He is predeceased by his brother and two sisters.

Rasiklal wished to donate his body to the Anatomical Gift Program at SUNY Upstate Medical University , Syracuse . The family would like to thank everyone for the comfort and care their father received.
