LOWVILLE - Peter H. "Pete" Peebles, 64, of Watson, died on Monday, March 11, 2019 at Faxton-St. Lukes Healthcare of Utica with his family by his side.

Pete was born on July 30, 1954 in Lowville, the son of the late Henry and Loretta (Beyer) Peebles where he graduated from Lowville Academy and Central School. He married Cathy J. Lee on September 11, 1982 at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Rev. Pashal Rys, officiating.

He was the owner of Peebles Signs & Graphics for more than 35 years. Pete loved motorcycles, snowmobiles, and ATVs; he still holds records at ESTA Safety Park Drag Strip in Cicero set on his 1982 Suzuki drag-bike!  He loved riding around on 'the hill' whether leaf peeping or scouting potential rides.

Pete is survived by his wife Cathy, their two daughters and sons-in-law, Mickenzie H. and CPT Mark Schilly; Madison L. and David Collette, Jr; his three brothers, Frank R., Robert R. "Bobby", and Scott A. Peebles; his nephews, Frank II (his wife Homa) and Austin Peebles; a great nephew, Max; cousins; and the family of Robert and Muriel Lee.

Calling hours for family and friends will be on Thursday, March 14 ^th from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M., and on Friday, March 15 ^th , from 11:00 to 1:00 P.M., at the Sundquist Funeral Home.  There will be no funeral service.

On Friday, March 15 ^th starting at 1:00 P.M. everyone is invited to a reception at Lewis Lanes.
