LOWVILLE - Patricia B. Wolfe, 87, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at the Oswego Hospital. Mrs. Wolfe was born July 19, 1927, in Claremont, NH, a daughter of the late William H. and Mabel (Monica) Barry. After her high school graduation, Mrs. Wolfe received a B.A. from Wellesley College and a Master's Degree from the University of New Hampshire. She then moved to Constableville where she taught English. On June 22, 1950, she was married to Attorney Kenneth B. Wolfe at St. Patrick's Church, Nashua NH. The couple made their home together in Lowville where Pat was proud to have raised their five children. Mrs. Wolfe did substitute teaching at Lowville Academy and worked for her husband, in his law office. She was a member and communicant of St. Peter's Catholic Church where she was a member of St. Theresa's Guild. She was a member of the Civic Club and a member of the North Country Library Board and New York State Library Board. She is survived by her children: Thomas B. (Anna) Wolfe of Altmont, Kevin B. Wolfe (Richard Assman) of Auburn, Honor M. Wolfe (Richard J. Ambrose) of Shaker Heights, OH, Anne M. Wolfe (Ike Broome) of Newburg, and Andrew T. Wolfe (Kathryn) of Oswego; six grandchildren: Brett Evans, Ian Broome, Sean Wolfe, John Ambrose, Genevieve Ambrose and Connor Wolfe; three great grandsons and a sister-in-law Nancy C. Barry of Nashua, NH. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Wolfe was predeceased by her brother William H. Barry, Jr.; her sister Jane B. Fox. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 10:00 A.M., at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 5439 Shady Avenue, Lowville, NY with Rev. Christopher Carrara, officiating. Burial will be in Lowville Rural Cemetery. Donations in memory of Patricia Wolfe may be given to the Lowville Library.
