Mary V. LaFleur 66, of Belfort formerly of Lowville, NY passed away Friday Feb 7, 2020 at her home after a brief illness. Mary was born in Massena, NY on December 29, 1953 a daughter of Clark & Pauline Dumas Salmon. She lived in the Lowville area for most of her life having also lived in San Diego and Sacramento, CA for about 10 years. She was previously married to Ezra Lyndaker and later, George LaFleur. Mary worked at Lloyd's of Lowville as a waitress for about 15 years before becoming co-operator of Smitty's Smoke Shop in 1998 along with Mike 'Mikey' Smith, her loving longtime companion of many years. Mike passed away on March 19, 2013. Mary enjoyed animals, playing cards and being next to the water. It was her family that she enjoyed the most.

Surviving are two daughters, Tonya Gingerich Lyndaker & Lynn Boliver, Belfort, NY and Tara & Doug Smith, Smithfield, VA, eight grandchildren; Alyssa & Trey, Makayla, Tyler, Ciera, Dustin, Tori, Shane and Sara, two sisters, Barbara Nylen & Pat Richardson, Fulton, NY, Patricia Taylor, Lowville, NY, two brothers, Michael & Donna Gentry, Providence, VA, Jess & Amanda Gentry, Williamsburg, VA and several nieces & nephews. Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by three sisters, Connie Mooney, Ann Greenfield, Deborah Hurley and a brother, John June, three nephews, Jarrod Hurley, Travis Greenfield, Tyler Gentry and a great niece, Chloe Burdick.

Private funeral arrangements are under the direction of LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., Camden, NY with local assistance from Sundquist Funeral Home, Lowville, NY.
