Obituary
GLENFIELD – Mary J. Allen,
widow of Roger A. Allen passed away on Saturday, December 3rd at St. Elizabeth's
Medical
Center
in
Utica
in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit.
Burial will be in
Turin
Cemetery
at the convenience of the family. Per Mary's wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral.
She was born in Glenfield on
September 29, 1930
the daughter of the late Leo M. and Ruth (Benedict) Salmon. Mary graduated from
General
Martin
High School
in 1948. On
August 12, 1950
she married Roger A. Allen in Glenfield. Mary worked at Beaverite Products Inc., in Glenfield and Beaver falls from 1962 until her retirement in 1992 as a production machine operator.
Surviving are her two children, Michael and his wife Michele of Churchville, and her daughter Amy and her husband Michael Petersen of
Turin
. Her five grandchildren, Jason and his wife Andrea Allen of Ferndale, WA; Curtis and his wife Marlena Allen of Redondo Beach, CA; Kaitlyn Allen of Mt. Morris; Alisa and her husband Chad Findlay of Central Square; and Nathan and his wife Leah Appelhans Peterson of Tijeras NM; her four great grandchildren, Victoria and Natalie Allen of Washington; Aiden Allen of California; and Cullin Findlay of Central Square; Her sister, Joyce Loson and her husband Donald of Old Forge; her sister-in-law, Geraldine Salmon of Glenfield; several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Mary is predeceased by her husband Roger of 59 years, her brothers, David and Doig Salmon, and her sister-in-law, Therese Salmon.
