WATSON - Martha L. "Marty" Suiter, 68, of Stewart Lane, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 25, 2011, at the Lewis County Residential Health Care Facility in the Rehab Unit. Martha was born on March 25, 1943, in Cleveland, OH, a daughter of the late Wade and Erma Fredenburg Chastain. She moved with her family to Lewis County where she graduated from Beaver River Central School. On May 4, 1968, she was married to Wayne H. Suiter at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Glenfield with Rev. Salmon officiating. The couple settled in the Watson area. Wayne died in 2007. Martha was employed by Lewis County General Hospital as a nurse's aide, in several areas including maternity, on the 2nd floor, in physical therapy, at the switchboard, in admissions and retired as cashier. Martha dearly loved her grandchildren, knitting and watching major league baseball on TV, especially the Yankees. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 29, 2010, at 4:00 p.m. at the Sundquist Funeral Home with David Tuttle officiating, followed by burial in the Beaches Bridge Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday evening, April 28th from 5-8 p.m. Surviving are her two daughters and a son-in-law, Tracey L. Suiter of Oswego and Shannon M. and Doug LaQuay of Watson; a sister, Cathy Bramhall and her husband, John of Bend, OR and her brother, Brad Chastain and wife, Robin of Kissimmee, FL; four grandchildren: Cassandra L. Suiter, Rebecca A. Gardner, Todd M. Suiter and Michael A. Dunham and two great grandchildren, Hailey-Kaylyn Gardner and Skye LaQuay; nieces and nephews.
