LOWVILLE - Margaret F. Engelhart, 88, formerly of Valley View Courts, passed away peacefully at the East Road Adult Home on early Friday morning, August 07, 2015. Mrs. Engelhart was born on November 10, 1926, in Au Sable Forks to the late Alexander A. and Elizabeth G. Simmons MacDonald. She worked for Jefferson County Social Services, and had several other jobs before she retired from Carthage Central School administration office. Mrs. Engelhart was of the Catholic faith, and was homemaker where she enjoyed baking and cooking especially for the family and friends during the holidays, she also loved to read, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was an avid New York Yankees fan and loved Syracuse Orange basketball. Private services are in care of the Sundquist Funeral Home with burial in Fairview Cemetery in Au Sable Forks, NY. Surviving Mrs. Engelhart are her four sons and three daughter-in-laws, Brent and Lynne; James and Teresa; David; and Peter and Julie Engelhart; her six grandchildren, Christian, Andrew, Jason, Allyson, Zachary and Justin and her five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, Donald H. and Robert A. MacDonald. Memorials in Margaret's name may be made to: East Road Adult Home, C/O Activities, 7731 East Road, Lowville, NY 13367.
