CROGHAN - Lois Irene Good, 89, of the Erie Canal Road, died late Saturday evening, September 7, 2024 under the care of her family.
Mrs. Good was born on July 30, 1935 in Brownstown, PA., the daughter of the late Elam W. and Katie W. (Wenger) Witmer. Lois graduated from Lancaster Mennonite High School. She married Clarence R. Good on May 19, 1956 at Mountville PA., with Bishop Chris Lehman, officiating. Lois and Clarence moved to the Croghan area. He was a mason, and led the Crystal Light Mennonite Church in New Bremen. Clarence died on September 13, 2023.
She is survived by her three children, Kenneth R. (Rosalee) Good; Joanne (Joseph) Zehr; and Brenda L. (Joseph) Lyndaker, all of Croghan; 24 grandchildren, and 78 great grandchildren; her brother, John (Evelyn) Witmer of Ephrata, PA; her sister, K. Grace Shenk of Lancaster, PA.; nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her grandson, Jacob Amos Lyndaker, three brothers, Paul M., Roy E., and E. Luke Witmer, four sisters, Anna Eshbach, Dorothy Miller, Arlene Hertzler, M. Jean Bender.
The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Crystal Light Mennonite Church, 8672 State Route 812, Lowville, with church ministry officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, September 11th, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:00 P.M. at the church.
