He and Jane made their home in the Altmar area, where he was the acting "mayor" of Pineville for 40 years. After retirement, the couple moved to Lowville to be closer to family.
Lloyd worked for Agway in Pulaski. After leaving Agway, he attended college receiving degrees from JCC in Business Administration; Oswego State in Economics/Computer Science; Syracuse University in Masters in Accounting. Upon completion he accepted employment with Niagara Mohawk in Syracuse as a Financial Modeler, retiring after 26 years of employment then consulting for a number of years afterwards.

Lloyd loved spending time with his family which was important to him. Always saying, "be careful what you invite us to, because we will show up". When his sons were younger he umpired their little league games in Pulaski. Lloyd enjoyed family genealogy where he discovered he was a descendant from the Mayflower through William Bradford. He enjoyed all sports especially SU football and basketball and the NY Giants. Lloyd loved to eat, especially pie, and sharing a meal with Ron. Lloyd and Jane traveled throughout the US and Canada. They also played in weekly Euchre tournaments. On Sunday mornings for over 10 years, Lloyd and Jane met with longtime friends Harley and Pat for breakfast.
The family would like to extend its greatest appreciation to the staff at DaVita Dialysis for their loving care and patience during his treatments; Volunteer Transportation Center, his main driver Rick; to the Staff at the Office of the Aging for their support and knowledge. Also, to LouAnn for her helping hand.
Instead of condolences, the family would love to see photos and hear stories of something you remember about Lloyd, the funnier the better. They may be made online: www.sundquistfh.com
