GLENFIELD - A. Kent "KP" Patterson,78, died Wednesday morning, December 16, 2015 at his home in with his family at his side.

Kent was born on April 25, 1937, in Lowville, the son of the late Sterlyn Owen and Faith (Norton) Patterson he attended school at General Martin High School. He entered the U.S. Marine Corps in 1954 and was honorable discharged in 1959.

He married Carole Western on August 9, 1963, with Justice of the Peace, Gordon Green, officiating. Kent and Carole made their home in Glenfield where he loved spending time in his vegetable gardens and riding around on his lawn mower. He was an outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing. Kent was employed by Barrett Paving Materials, Inc., in Syracuse, where he was a roller operator.

KP is survived by his wife, Carole, his daughter, Jill Clifton (Karl) of Lyons Falls; his five sons, John Capko (Kerry) of Tennessee; Kent "Bug" Patterson (Patricia) of Greig; Wade Patterson of Glenfield; Jack Patterson (Ginny) of Glenfield; Robert Patterson of Greig; his brother, Floyd W. Patterson (Patricia) of Ohio; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Kent is predeceased by his grandson, Douglas Kent Patterson, three brothers, R. Eugene "Gene", Paul A., and Hugh L. Patterson, a sister, Carol Ruiter.

Calling hours will be on Saturday, December 19, 2015 from 11:00AM - 2:00PM at Sundquist Funeral Home, Lowville, NY.

Followed by a military graveside service at 2:30 P.M. at Brantingham Cemetery, with Rev. Bruce Lyndaker officiating.
