LOWVILLE - A committal service for Kenneth E. LaVancha will be on Monday, November 20th at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Cemetery, Copenhagen.



Kenneth E. LaVancha, 76, of State Route 177, town of Harrisburg , died early Thursday afternoon, November 9, 2017 at Lewis County General Hospital .

Kenneth was born on October 12, 1941 in West Leyden the son of the late Floyd David and Dorothy Ann Orberitter LaVancha. He worked for his parent's on the family farm, Borden Milk of Watertown, and for his sister and brother-in-law's dairy farm, Leona and Albert Larkins where he made his home.

He is survived by his daughter Tammy Elmer, his four brothers, Clifford "Sonny"; Eugene (Roberta); Charles W.; and William LaVancha; his five sisters, Marion DeVore; Leona (Albert) Larkins; Doris (Art) Baker; Cindy LaVancha and her companion Willie; and Virginia (Larry) Daymont; several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brothers, Lloyd C. and Paul E. LaVancha, and his sister, Patricia LaVancha Beach .

Per Kenneth's wishes, he is to be cremated and burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Copenhagen .
