Obituary

LOWVILLE – Kathryn Bellinger Lyndaker, 87, of Brookside Circle, passed away Friday, April 28, 2017, with her family at her side, at the Lewis County Residential Health Care Facility.

Kathryn was born on April 4, 1930, in the town of Harrisburg, a daughter of the late Glenn J. and Pearle Bannon Bellinger.  She attended country school and graduated from Lowville Free Academy in 1948.  On October 21, 1950, she married Edward A. Lyndaker at her parent's home with the Rev. Roger Williams of Lowville United Methodist Church, officiating.  The couple was married 67 years.

Mrs. Lyndaker was employed by Clyde Graham of Graham's Variety Store and later for his son Harold for many years. She was a member of the Lowville United Methodist Church for over 65 years, the Lowville Methodist Women, Treasurer of the Booster Club and Sunday School teacher and also various committees at church.

She was also a member of the Harrisburg Grange #551 for many years where she held several offices until they disbanded, also a member of Lewis Co. Pomona Grange. She belonged to the West Lowville Homemakers Club, was a 4-H leader and secretary of the Thursday Night bowling league.

She enjoyed her family and their Sunday dinners together, traveling, cooking and spending summers at their camp at Brantingham.

Surviving are her husband Edward, a son and his wife Bruce D. and Gloria of Lowville and a daughter Gail A. Klosner and her companion Steve Olmstead of Glenfield; two grandchildren Sarah and her husband Nolan Lowe and Matthew and wife Sarah Klosner and one step-granddaughter Jennifer Bidwell; four great grandchildren, Molly, Julia and Olivia Lowe and Daniel Jeffrey Klosner and two step great-granddaughters, Dakota and Cheyenne Rogers; a brother and his wife Richard and Arletha Bellinger of Lowville; a niece and five nephew.

She was predeceased by son-in-law Daniel Klosner; two sisters and two brothers-in-law Dorothea and Harold Vary and Maxine and Byron Allen; a step granddaughter Terri Brockert and a nephew Maurice and wife Margaret Vary and a nephew Jerry Allen.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, May 2nd from 11:00a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Lowville United Methodist Church with funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. David B. Herrmann, Pastor officiating.  Burial will be in the West Lowville Rural Cemetery.
