LOWVILLE – Kathaleen "Kay" L. Ulrich, 100 years of age, formerly of Hummingbird Lane , passed away on Friday , May 6, 2016 , at Angels Inn Adult Home in Watertown .

Born on July 11, 1915 , in Canton , to the late George A. and Mabel J. Hill Brown, Mrs. Ulrich graduated from Canton High School and Watertown School of Commerce.

She worked for the New York Life Insurance Company at their Watertown and Syracuse offices. On August 24, 1946 , she was married to Floyd J. Ulrich at the Lowville Baptist Church in Lowville where the couple made their home for many years. She was assistant librarian at the Lowville Free Library from 1965 to 1976. Mr. Ulrich died in April of 2008.

Mrs. Ulrich was a long-standing member of the Lowville Baptist Church , a member of the Order of the Eastern Star-Zenith Copenhagen Chapter #346, a member of both the Constableville and Lewis County Historical Societies and a former member of Carlowden Country Club. She enjoyed crafts, gardening and reading.

Surviving Mrs. Ulrich is her son, Lawrence P. and Susan Ulrich of Utica ; her daughter, Carol A. and Rev. Jerry Loch of Watertown ; grandson Steven L. and Jenny Watkins of Adams; four great grandchildren, Kayla, Madison, Carter, and Alexander; several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her two sisters, Alyce Hundley and Belle Sprowls, two brothers, David A. and Robert Brown.

A memorial service will be on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at the Lowville Baptist Church at 11:00 A.M. with Mrs. Ulrich's son-in-law, Rev. Jerry Loch officiating. Private Burial will be in the Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Croghan.
