GREIG - Funeral services for Jon P. Tripp, 50, who died on Saturday, February 7, 2015, at Lewis County General Hospital will be held on Thursday, February 12th at 6:00 PM at the Sundquist Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Jenkins, Pastor of the Calvary Bible Church officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday prior to the funeral from 3-6 PM. Memorials in Jon's name may be made to a charity of one's choice. Jon was born in Carthage on October 29, 1964, to Bradley Lynn and Joyce M. Wetmore Tripp where he graduated from Carthage Central High School in 1982. On August 3, 1985, he was married to Amy Sue McIntyre at the Greig United Methodist Church. Jon began working for the Adirondack League Club at the young age of 20 and shortly thereafter became manager of the Preserve. He was associated with the Club for 30 years. As an avid outdoorsman, Jon loved fishing, playing golf and holding 1st first baseman and catcher positions on the Lewis County Fast Pitch Softball League, from which he recently retired. He also enjoyed table tennis and special times with his granddaughter, Aidryona. He was truly a great family man. Jon is survived by his wife, Amy; their two sons, Brian and Mark at home; granddaughter, Aidryona; his mother, Joyce M.; brother Thomas and wife Lorie; his mother-in-law, Jean Mowers and her family and nephew, Brandon and niece, Heather Tripp. Jon's father, Bradley Lynn Tripp recently died in October of 2014.
