GLENFIELD - Jean M. Bouchard, 84, of the Erie Canal Road , died Tuesday morning, March 15, 2016 at Lewis County General Hospital under the care of the east wing staff, Lewis County Hospice, and her family.

Mrs. Bouchard was born May 30, 1931 in Boonville the daughter of the late Albert and Loneita (Boyce) Moltz. Jean graduated from Boonville High School and was an operator for General Telephone Co., in Boonville. She was united in marriage with Albert D. Bouchard on October 13, 1951 at St. Joseph 's Catholic Church in Boonville with Rev. Driscoll officiating. The couple made their home on the Erie Canal Road . Mr. Bouchard died on November 21, 2002 .

Jean was a homemaker, cherished spending time with her family, she was a very good artisan, making beautiful porcelain dolls, oil paintings and loved playing the piano.

She is survived by her five daughters, Michelle J. Stanford of Lowville; Caroline D. Turck of Carthage; Theresa M. and Michael Snyder of Fairfield; Rebecca M. and John Myers of Lowville; Marylou A. and Ronald Gatch of Lorraine; her 26 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren; her brother, Albert and Janet Moltz of FL. She is predeceased by her brother David Moltz.

Jean was a communicant of Blessed Virgin Mary Mother of God Church , Syracuse and past communicant of St. Mary's, Glenfield, where she taught catechism for over 25 years and was a member of the Rosary and Altar Society.

A funeral mass will be said on Friday, March 18, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at the Sundquist Funeral Home with Rev. Gregory Post officiating. Spring burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Calling hours will be on Thursday, March 17th from 5 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home.
