LOWVILLE and BRANTINGHAM - James B. Dunn, A committal service will be held on Friday, September 20th at 1:00pm at St. Stephen's Cemetery, Croghan, with Rev. Jay Seymour, officiating.

James B. Dunn, 94, of Brookside Circle, died on early Sunday afternoon, June 23, 2024. Jim was formerly of Brantingham.

Jim was born on August 9, 1929 in Queens the son of the late William Thomas and Mary Frances (Bell) Dunn. Jim graduated from Staunton Military Academy, Staunton, VA. He married Barbara A. Carncross on December 10, 1976 at St. Aloysius in Great Neck. He was a Code Enforcement Officer for the Village of Great Neck Plaza, retiring in 1991.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara, his nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brothers, William T. "Bill", Robert P., and Richard Dunn, his sister, Ann Marie Sherwood, and a nephew, Brien Dunn.

Jim was a life member of Vigilant Fire Department where he served as past Chief from 1973 to 1976, a life member of Lowville B.P.O.E #1605, and a communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Glenfield.
