Obituary

LYONS FALLS - Irving S. Cobb, 75 of South Street died on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at his home. He was born on March 28, 1938 in Lowville the son of the late George C. and Eunice Hopseker Cobb. Irving attended Lowville Academy and Central School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean conflict, and for many years he worked construction in the North Country. Irving was a well known well dowser in the area, and was a local antique dealer and collector. He loved wood working and carpentry, and enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his three sons and grandchildren, Chuck and his children, Mallory, Taylor, Cassidy, and Kali; Jeff and his children, Lindsay and Alexis; Steve and his children, Joshua, Bethanie, Michael, Dylan and Brianna; two great-granddaughters, Karley and Ava Lynn; his three brothers, Clarence, Douglas, and Philip; his three sisters, Dolores Morrison, Janet Hammon, and Frances Hanno; Irving is predeceased by his brother Paul. A memorial service will be held in late spring of 2014 at the Sundquist Funeral Home followed by a military burial at Beaches Bridge Cemetery.
