GLENFIELD - Helen A. Tuttle, 70, of the Pine Grove Road, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2013, at the Lewis County General Hospital's Rehabilitation wing. Helen was born in Potsdam, on October 15, 1942, to the late Orval Stevens "Mike" and Pearl Marie Ferris Monroe. She attended school in Copenhagen and Lowville. Helen worked at AMF and for Lloyds Diner in Lowville and was a domestic for Dr. Brooks and his family. In later years, she drove for Lewis County Social Services. Her hobbies included playing cards, bingo, lottery tickets, dancing, listening to country music, shopping and spending time with her family and friends. Her greatest passion was taking care of her cats. A marriage to Reginald G. Tuttle ended in divorce. He later died in 2001. Surviving Helen are her son Darin J. Tuttle and his companion Michelle Markham of Boonville; cousins: Lillian Ferris her children Justin and Jessie of Glenfield who lived with Helen and Margaret Krenceski and her family of Lowville; brother-in-law David Tuttle and his wife Margaret and their family and her long-time close friends Bill and Kathy Dibble and their family. Helen is also survived by her former foster child, Mildred Dibble Hardy and her family. Helen was predeceased by her infant sister Janet and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Per Helen's wishes services and burial will be private.
