Harold A. Williams, 92, of the Burke Road, Glenfield, passed away early Thursday morning, April 10, 2025 at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown where he has been a patient for three weeks.
Harold was born on October 15, 1932 in Watson, the son of the late Frank E. and Minnie M. (Dicob) Williams. He attended Lowville Academy School. He married the former Doris Erickson in November of 1952 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Together they had three children but were later divorced. Harold served for four years during the Korean War from 1950-1954 in the U.S. Air Force where he was an A-1 mechanic. He returned to Lewis County and worked as a truck driver for the Lowville Farmers Co-op for over 20 years until his retirement several years ago. During the winter months, he worked in Florida for several years and at a KOA Campgrounds in Anderson, S. Carolina.
Harold loved to tinker with anything automotive. He was a very good mechanic and loved riding his motorcycle, even at the age of 85.
The family would like to thank the staff at Samaritan Medical Center that provided care to Harold.
He is survived by one daughter: Laurie (Mike) Hollamon of Sandy, OR, two sons: Steven D. Williams of Sandy, OR and David "Scott" (Nellie) Williams of Pensacola, FL , a granddaughter, Lisa and one great grandchild, one sister: Marlene (Ernest) Clemons of Watertown and nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Frank and Minnie Williams, a sister, Dorothy Smith and two brothers, Gerald and Robert Williams.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 12 at the Sundquist Funeral Home in Lowville with Rev. Kevin Kitto, Pastor of the Lowville Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Martinsburg Cemetery, Martinsburg. Family and friends may call on Saturday from 12:00-2:00pm, prior to the service. Online condolences may be made at Sundquistfh@twcny.rr.com.
