LOWVILLE - Gladys L. Dicob, 91, formerly of the Number Four Road, died early Wednesday morning, December 14, 2011 at the Lewis County Residential Health Care Facility where she had resided since June of 2007. She was born on February 20, 1920 in Crystaldale the daughter of the late Francis and Pearl Hulbert Bailey. Gladys graduated from Lowville Free Academy in 1938. She married Arthur J. Dicob on February 17, 1942 at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Rev. Albert Richardson officiating. Mr. Dicob was a logger and retired from NYS DOT as a truck driver. He died on February 14, 1990. Gladys worked for Rap Shaw Hunting Club in Stillwater for several years, also Lewis County General Hospital as an aide and AMF Manufacturing. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Gerald F. Edwards of Lowville, her five grandchildren, Shawn, Shelly, Tami, Travis, Todd, and eight great grandchildren. Her son Preston E. Dicob died on November 22, 1991. Services will be private with burial in Beaches Bridge Cemetery.
