Obituary

WATSON - Gail K. Taylor, 69, died late Tuesday evening, February 18, 2014 at Faxton-St. Lukes Healthcare in Utica, with her loving family at her side. Gail was born July 4, 1944, in Lowville NY, the daughter of the late Milton "Tinker" and Mildred (Shaw) Flint. She graduated from Beaver River Central School. On February 9, 1963, she married Virgil E. Taylor at the Watson Methodist Church with Rev. Griswold officiating. The couple made their home on the Number Four Road where Gail was a homemaker. As a wife, mother and grandmother, Gail taught her family to smile, laugh through the hard times and never take life too seriously. Gail received some of her most enjoyment in life by traveling, enjoying a day in the sun at camp, or supporting her six grandchildren at various activities. Gail had an amazing connection with many people that provided her with enthusiasm, excitement and her uplifting spirit. Surviving Gail are her husband Virgil and their three children, Cheryl and Robert Dicob of Glenfield and their daughters, Sheena and Cortney; Carrie and Mike Collins of Cobleskill and their children, Jena and Taylor; and Tammi and Brad McIntyre of Lowville and children Katlyne and Zachary; her siblings, Kenneth K. and Patricia, Beaver Falls; David and Linda, Watson; Bruce W. and Patricia, Croghan; Jack E. and Marcia, Lowville; Karen and Donald Mooney, Lowville; Ellen and Terence Kelly, Croghan; brother-in-law Ronald Merry, Lowville. She is predeceased by sisters, Donna Flint and Judith Merry and her brother, Thomas G. Flint. Per Gail's wishes there will be no services. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and her family suggests donations be made to the Lowville Elks Christmas Club Charities, 5600 Shady Avenue, Lowville, NY 13367. The family would also encourage everyone to consider being an organ donor.
