Frederick William Zehr, 26, passed on April 14, 2013, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born December 16, 1986, in Landstuhl, Germany, to Frederick J. and Lois Anne M. Zehr. Fred is survived by his parents, his sister: M. Anna Zehr of Colorado Springs, and his grandmother: Mildred F. Zehr of Lowville, New York. He was the grandson of the late Frederick J. Zehr Sr. and the late William A. and Maylouise G. Magee. Fred is also survived by aunts and uncles: Sue Matuszczak, Tom and Linda Zehr, Virginia and Mark Trobert, Jeff Zehr and Val Juby, and Cynthia and Art Derouin, and many cousins, all of New York; and uncle and aunt: Donald and Mary Magee of New Jersey. Fred leaves a circle of long-time friends to whom he was a brother and guiding protector. Fred was witty, kind and thoughtful, with a brilliant intellect. He could be counted upon to help in any situation. Calling hours are 6 to 9 p.m., Thursday, April 25, at the Sundquist Funeral Home, State Street, Lowville. Interment is at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery, Route 812, Croghan, NY, at 11 a.m., Friday, April 26.
