COPENHAGEN - Frank Straughn, 76, died early morning Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at his home.

Frank was born on December 24, 1940 in Kings County , New York the son of the late Rev. John Henry and Queen Esther (Johnson) Straughn. Frank attended public school # 39, and public School # 42 in New York City . He also lived in Rome and has spent the last 20 years with Ron and Kathy LaVancha in Copenhagen , in which time he attended the adult day program at Lewis Country General Hospital .

Frank enjoyed listening to music, singing, watching television and books. He loved sight seeing, country rides, and having vanilla ice cream.

His funeral will be held on Friday, March 31st at 11:00 A.M. at the Sundquist Funeral Home with Rev. James Trainham officiating. Private burial will be in Brookside Cemetery , Watertown .
