Florence I Allen, 92, of Valley View Courts, Lowville, died Friday, July 27, 2018 at her home in Lowville.

Florence was born on February 9, 1926 in West Winfield, NY. She is the daughter of the late Howard and Beatrice Lewis.  She was educated in Theresa. She married Harold S. Allen on April 6, 1944 in Alexandria Bay . Harold died on August 29, 1977 . She was a 30 year resident of Valley View Courts where she was a homemaker.

She is survived by a granddaughter, Christina (Ronald) Serviss of Utica and 7 other grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, a daughter-in-law, Phyllis Allen of Lowville and a son-in-law, Floyd Doney of Chittenango and her caregiver, Cindy Waugh-Lyndaker of Croghan. She is predeceased by a daughter, Maryann Doney who died on June 18, 2006 , a son, John Allen, 3 sisters, Frances , Laura and Pearl and a brother, Robert.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 2 at the Sundquist Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce W. Chapman officiating.  Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery , Champion. A calling hour will precede the funeral service from 10:00am – 11:00am on Thursday.
