GLENFIELD - Eric G. Bauer, 61, of the Nortonville Road died Monday morning, February 3, 2014 at his residence. Eric was born in Rome on June 4, 1952, the son of the late George and Sylvia Kriwox Beadore and was a graduate of South Lewis Central High School where he excelled in sports. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1972-1974, earning the rank of Corporal and was honorably discharged. A marriage to Sally Morczek in 1973 ended in divorce. On August 31, 1997, Eric was married to the former Nancy Burmingham at their home in Otter Creek. Eric worked for H and B Construction building bridges in the north country and had recently retired from Southern Cross furniture makers. In addition to making furniture, he enjoyed the outdoors while fishing, hunting, camping and gardening. He was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and a member of the Lowville American Legion Post #162. Surviving Eric are his wife Nancy and his children, Adam Bauer of Lowville, his grandson Tristen Bauer and Tristen's mother Tina McIntyre; daughter Jen and Mike St. Laurence of Piermont, NH and their son Ethan; three step-sons, Nick, Matt and Scott Spann; brothers and sisters, Randy and Maggie Bauer, June Abel and Jack Garlock, Tammey and David Lustyik, Matthew and Polly Weiler and Barbara Rhubart and six step-grandchildren. Eric was predeceased by his brother Kevin Weiler. Per Eric's wishes there will be no services. Memorials may be made in Eric's name to a charity of one's choice.
