At this point we could talk about his years spent as a farmer, mechanic, pastor, overseer, or EMT, but what really defined his life more than those was his love of music. He bought his first guitar at age 15 and his last one at age 87. He learned the mechanics of music well at a young age, (shaped notes and Solfege). He met his wife when she sang in a trio with his cousins.
He sang in choirs, quartets, and led worship music for decades.
He sang duets with his wife, and when his oldest daughter Judi could carry a part The Siegrist Family began singing as a trio with his guitar accompanying. As other voices matured they were added, then those voices eventually moved away until it was just Don and Anne singing together again.
If you knew him well you knew of his love of music.
When he moved to Turin at age 87 his home congregation missed his music, and the Turin community was treated to his guitar playing and singing.
Dad, Scripture states that for the believer "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord," and it states "eye has not seen nor ear heard the things God has prepared for those who love him."
We cannot imagine what you are hearing now.
