NEW BREMEN - Elise L. Thomas, 88, formerly of State Route 812, died late Friday evening, April 17, 2015 at Lewis County Residential Health Care Facility where she was a resident for a short time. Mrs. Thomas was born September 12, 1926 in Galveston, Texas, the daughter of the late Lancelot C. and Christine (Thomas) Atwell. She married Robert F. Thomas on June 22, 1964 in Alexandria, Louisiana. Elise and Robert made their home on Rte. 812 in New Bremen. She was a home care aide for local patients and families. Robert died on February 2, 2007. Per Elise's wishes there will be no services. Her private burial will be in New Bremen Rural Cemetery.
