Obituary

LOWVILLE - Dorothy E. "Dot" Johnson, 68, of Dewitt Street passed away on May 13, 2012 at Samaritan Medical Center where she had been a patient since April. Dorothy was born at Lewis County General Hospital on May 11, 1944 the daughter of the late Maynard C. and AnnaBelle Thomas Rumble. She attended school at General Martin High School in Glenfield. Dot was a foster mother for several years to many children. She retired from Lowville Free Library where she worked for a few years. She is survived by her daughter, April Fuller, Lowville; her niece whom she made her home with, Michelle Plantz; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Michael C. and Barbara Thomas, Lake Charles, LA; Herbert Wayne and Stella Rumble, Ragley, LA; Maynard G. Rumble, Chases Lake; several nieces and nephews and, Dot's special friend, her Pomeranian "Taz". Her sister, Mary L., and a nephew Wayne Michael Rumble predeceased her. Dorothy attended Bethel Church of the Nazarene, loved chatting and playing games on her computer and she enjoyed camping, fishing. Calling hours will be on Monday evening, May 21st from 6 - 8 P.M. at the funeral home. A funeral service will be on Tuesday May 22nd at 5:00pm at the Sundquist Funeral Home with Rev. Keith W. Hardy, pastor, of Bethel Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Burial will be on Wednesday, May 23rd at 2:00pm at Old Glendale Cemetery.
