LYONS FALLS – A graveside service for Donald S. Podkowka will be on Tuesday, May 9th, at 4:00 P.M. at Calvary Cemetery with Rev. Mr. James Chaufty, Deacon officiating.

Donald S. Podkowka, 68, sadly died Friday, January 27, 2017 at his home with his faithful dog, Pork Chop at his side.

Don was born July 9, 1948 in Lowville the son of the late Ludolf S. and Winnie Mae (Mackey) Podkowka. He graduated from South Lewis Central School and received his Automotive Industries teaching degree from New York State in 1987. He taught auto mechanics at Glenfield BOCES and in Utica . Donald was a communicant of St. John's Catholic Church.

He is survived by his two sons, Christopher and Donald S. Jr.; his grandson, Zach; a sister, Andrea (Roland) Galarneau; a brother, Bernard W.; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Donald is predeceased by his brother, Reginald L. "Bud" Podkowka.
