LOWVILLE – Dolores R. Koziol, 84, died on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Lewis County General Hospital. She was formerly of Constableville.
She was born on July 23, 1932 in the town of Martinsburg the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Konzal Percoski. Dolores graduated from Lowville Free Academy in 1949. She was united in marriage with Stanley Koziol on August 21, 1954 at St. Hedwig's Catholic Church. Together they owned and operated a dairy on Route 26, Constableville. She and Stanley sold the farm to their daughter and son-in-law in 1988, and they moved to Lowville for a few years before Stanley died in February of 2004.
She is survived by her two children, Frederick and Cindy Koziol of Christiansburg, VA and Christine and Michael Watkins of Constableville; her four grandchildren, Ericka, Brian, Rachel and her husband Andrew, and Brittany; her three great grandchildren, Aiden, Dylan, and Jonah; several nieces and nephews, and cousins. Dolores is predeceased by her sister, Marie Percoski, and her six brothers, Stanley, Charles, Frank, Wenzal, Chester, and Thomas Percoski.
Dolores was a past communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Constableville, and St. Theresa's Guild Lowville. She was a member of the Polish American Club where she enjoyed Polka dancing with Stanley. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is a communicant of St. Peter's Catholic Church where her funeral mass will be said on Friday, January 27th at 12:00 Noon with Rev. Christopher Carrara, Pastor officiating. Spring burial will be in the Lowville Rural Cemetery.
