LOWVILLE - David M. Peck, 76, died on Monday evening, March 11, 2024 at Lewis County General Hospital with his family at his side.

Dave was born in York County, Pennsylvania on February 15, 1948, the son of the late Ralph E. and Cree (Johnson) Peck. He grew up in the Hanover, PA  and attended Millersville College on a basketball scholarship. After attending college, he was drafted into the US Army where he attended OSC and took a commission. Dave served multiple tours of duty in Vietnam and was honorably discharged as a First Lieutenant. David was a decorated Vietnam veteran and was very proud of his service to his country.

Dave started working for Marks farm in 1979. He married Jacquelyn Marks on July 11, 1981 at Trinity Episcopal Church.  Dave, Jackie and her brother, William Marks, purchased the farm after the passing of Dr. Herbert Marks in 1986.  Together, they transformed a small dairy farm into a large family run business which is now one of the premiere dairy operations in the northeast.  They raised their three children on the farm and all three have returned to continue on its legacy.

In his leisure time, Dave enjoyed spending time with his dog(s), playing golf, working in his numerous orchards and groves, and researching about the dairy industry. His children have fond memories of their family horseback riding adventures on trails cleared by Dave in his heavy equipment. He was well known for his strong presence and unwavering dedication to his farm and family.

He is survived by his wife Jackie, their three children and families, Dr. Lindsey L. (fiancé Mark Staub) Peck, and their children, Jaxxen and Maverick; Christopher D. (Kali) Peck, and their children, Tristan and Charlie; and Stephen M. (Suzy) Peck, and their children, Barrett and Scarlett; his sister, Ann (Leonard) Strickland; his brother, Mark (Deb) Peck; several nieces and nephews.
