SYRACUSE -Dale C. Schantz, 36, formerly of Naumburg died unexpectedly on Tuesday evening, August 19, 2014, at St. Joseph's Hospital in the ER. Born in Lowville on October 16, 1977, to Thomas and Catherine Roy Schantz, Dale graduated from Beaver River. He was first employed by Amelio's in Watertown, where all he had to do was listen to a motor in order to repair the vacuum. At the time of his death, he was employed by Lowe's Home Improvement Store as a "Floor Specialist". He did home wiring on the side and enjoyed camping in Pennsylvania with friends. His two best buds were his dogs, Princess and Wilbur. Dale was baptized and attended the Beaver Valley Methodist Church. A graveside service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Naumburg Union Cemetery with Rev. Linda Harris, Pastor of the Beaver Valley Methodist Church and Rev, Bruce W. Chapman, retired minister officiating. Family and friends may call on Friday, August 22nd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Sundquist Funeral Home. In addition to his parents, Tom and Cathy of Naumburg, Dale is survived by his brother, Andrew T. and Shannon and their three children, Kaylee, Kaydence and A.J. all of Naumburg; his grandmother, Louise Schantz and aunts, uncles; two special sisters, Kimberly and Jennifer and cousins. Memorial contributions may be made in Dale's name to: Castorland Fire Department; Beaver Valley UMC of Naumburg or to the Lewis County Humane Society.
