PORT LEYDEN - Dale E. Corbo,
67, formerly of State Route 12, died Tuesday evening, on December 1, 2015 at Lewis County Residential Health Care Facility with his family by his side.
Mr. Corbo was born August 14, 1948 in Lowville the son of the late Gerald and Madonna (Hartley) Corbo. Dale attended school in Lyons Falls and graduated from South Lewis Central School in 1967. Dale enjoyed working outdoors, he worked for many local ski lodges including Woods Valley Ski Area in Westernville where he spent many years. During the summer months you could find him at Thendara Golf Club. He enjoyed fishing, feeding the wild animals, and his cats. Dale will be remembered for his quick-wit and being a practical joker. He was a NY Yankees fan and umpired many local games when he was younger.
Surviving Dale is his sister, Joyce Hill of Glenfield; his brother, Duane (Leslie) Corbo of Pulaski; nephews, Jeremey (Katie) Hill of Greig; Christopher Corbo of Clay; his uncle, Arleigh (Irene) Hartley of Lyons Falls and several cousins, and last but not least, his beloved cat Melon.
He is predeceased by his brother, Roger P. Corbo.
A Mass of Christian burial will be said at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 5th at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Glenfield with Rev. Christopher Carrara, Pastor officiating. Burial will be in Brantingham Cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Friday, December 4th from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Sundquist Funeral Home.
