LOWVILLE - Constance S. "Connie" "Gigi" Ramos died at the home of her daughter Shari on early Friday morning, January 18, 2013 under the care of her family and Lewis County Hospice. Connie would have celebrated her 80th birthday, a milestone she was very proud of, on this Saturday, January 19th. Mrs. Ramos was born January 19, 1933 in Lowville the daughter of the late Edward Francis and Mary Louise Briggs Stiles. She graduated from Beaver River Central School in 1950. Connie married Paul J. Ramos on June 3, 1960. Paul died on January 29, 1972. She retired from Niagara Mohawk in 2001. She is survived by her four daughters: Kathy and David Schneeberger of Woodgate; Terri and Richard Allard of Ellenton, FL; Shari L. Ramos and Jeff Schwan of Lowville; Jodi A. Ramos and Mike Young of Carthage; three stepchildren, Charles Ramos of Lyons Falls; David and Betty O'Connell of Pompano Beach, FL; Carol and Dave Drew of Glenview, IL; and Gigi's 18 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren. She is also predeceased by a daughter, Mary Ann Ramos, and her brother Bruce Stiles. Connie was actively involved with Lewis and Jefferson County Relay for Life; memorials in Connie's name may be made to: American Cancer Society, http://www.cancer.org/. Her hobbies were traveling, crocheting, crossword puzzles, playing the organ, listening to music, dancing, and an avid SU Basketball fan, and loved being with family and friends. A memorial service will be held at the Sundquist Funeral Home on Monday, January 21, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Dale Brown, officiating. Spring burial will be in Lowville Rural Cemetery. Calling hours for family and friends will be on Sunday, January 20th from 5 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home. The family suggest all food donations may be taken to the Marine Corps League after 8:30am on Monday.
