LOWVILLE - Chester A. Kaczmarek, 78, passed away on Tuesday morning, February 15, 2011, at the Albany Medical Center. Born on May 29, 1932, in Lancaster the son of the late Vincent and Josephine Kaczmarek. Chester moved in 1959, as a young man to the Lowville area where he began his teaching career as an Industrial Arts Teacher at Lowville Free Academy until his retirement on June 30, 1990. He was well-known by his colleagues as "Kacz" and admired by many for his commitment to his profession. Chester also served in the US Army from 1956 to 1958 and the army reserves until 1962. Surviving is his sister, Clara Crossley in New Mexico and nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sisters, Alice M. Lawniczak, Wanda Jeffords, Joan Russell; and a brother, Raymond Kaczmarek. Memorials may made in Chester's name; may be made to the Lowville Food Pantry. Per Kacz's request, his body will be cremated and there will be no funeral or calling hours.
