LOWVILLE – Catherine A. Crego, 58, died late Saturday evening, November 30, 2019 at her home.

She was born on May 16, 1961 in Watertown the daughter of David and Mary (Caplicki) Smith. Cathy attended Lowville Academy Central School. She was a past employee of Service Master in Lowville.

Cathy loved spending time with family, playing with her grandchildren and time spent with friends. She always would help anybody in need. She was one of a kind, and always had her door open for anyone who needed a place to stay. Cathy will always be remembered and never forgotten.

She is survived by her two daughters, Tammy M. (Stephan) Allen and Rebeka A. Caplicki, her grandchildren,  Chantelle, Tristain, Liam, Ariana, Annabella, Macayle, and Lily, her mother Mary Akin, her brother, Timothy (Sherry) Akin, and her sister Lisa (Joshua) Moser, nieces and nephews.

Cathy is predeceased by her two children, Glenn D. Caplicki and Amy S. Brodt, and her brother, Anthony W. "Tony" Akin.

Her funeral service will be on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the Sundquist Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Roggie, officiating. Spring burial will be in Beaches Bridge Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, December 10 ^th from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
