DENMARK – Brian D. Wolff, 38, died at his home early Saturday morning, November 23, 2019.
Brian was born in Lowville on August 1, 1981 the son of Douglas E. and Ann M. Birchenough Wolff. He graduated from Beaver River High School where he was a varsity member of the wrestling and golf teams. He also graduated from the BOCES electrical program.
He married Erin J. Herzig on July 25, 2015 at the Hayloft at Moonshine Farm Port Leyden with Andrea Moroughan officiating. Brian was an electrical journeyman with IBEW Local # 910 in Watertown. He was very proud to have finished the 5 year wireman program involving all aspects of his trade especially welding and making gifts for friends. He worked for Blackstone Electric, Inc. in Dexter and was just hired by NYTRIC Electrical Contractors, LLC, of Watertown. The couple made their home in Denmark.
Surviving are his wife Erin and their children, Brett James Wolff, Morgan P. Aubel, Isaac B. Aubel, and Aiden J. Aubel; his parents, Doug and Anne Wolff; his brother, Gary E. (Nancy) Wolff and their daughters, Maddy L. and Laney R.; his father and mother-in-law, Bradley L. and Joyce Herzig, Jr., his brothers and sister-in-law, Jake (Chanda Valis) Herzig and their daughters, Summer, Trinity, and Haven; Josh (McKenizie) Herzig and their daughter, Jaxie, and Hannah (Josh Reed) Herzig; his paternal grandmother, Annis G. Wolff; maternal grandmothers, Jeanie Herzig and Aileen Waugh-Robbins; aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is predeceased by his grandparents, James J. Wolff, Bradley L. Herzig, Sr., Richard Robbins, Maurice and Theresa Birchenough, his uncle David B. Wolff.
Brian was a wrestling coach for Lowville Pee Wee Wrestling, a member of Sons of The American Legion, Beaver River Memorial Post #1663, was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, 4 wheeling, bonfires "the bigger the better", and golfing. He enjoyed playing gin rummy at night and long Sunday drives with Erin. He loved and cherished time spent with his family.
A funeral service will be on Friday, November 29 th at 11:00 A.M. at the First Mennonite Church in New Bremen with Rev. Ed Steckly, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Croghan. The family would like to invite everyone to a Celebration of Life at Lowville VFW at 1:00 P.M. Private calling hours will be held for the family.
