Obituary

LOWVILLE - Brian E. Williams, 53, formerly of Stewart Lane, died on December 11th at the Lewis County Residential Health Care Facility. Brian was born in Lowville on June 8, 1961, to Robert A. and Marilyn J. Bauer Williams and graduated from Lowville Academy in 1979. At the early age of 12, he began working for Don Ingersoll doing auto body work prior to entering the Army in 1982. He served in the 4th Battalion 77th Field Artillery in Europe as a Specialist 4th Class, where he was a mechanic working on tanks. He most recently was employed by Nortz and Virkler in the auto body/tailgate department. In his spare time, Brian enjoyed the outdoors hunting and fishing. He loved motorcycle racing and spending time with his sons racing and watching NASCAR. He played in a band both in Germany and locally with Dana Crouse and with Jeff Suiter in "ACES High". Surviving Brian are his mother, Marilyn; his five children: Melinda Williams; Jason Williams; Latashia Wood; Kyle Williams and Brian D. Williams. Also surviving are his two sisters: Nancy and her husband Mark Salisbury and Lisa A. and husband, Jeff Adsit; three grandchildren, Gage Bobo, Scarlet Williams and Deegan Wood and six nieces and nephews and one great nephew. His father Robert passed away on August 31, 2000. Graveside services with military burial will be held in the spring at the Beaches Bridge Cemetery with Rev. Bruce W. Lyndaker officiating. There are no calling hours.
