COPENHAGEN - Brian Carl Groff, 17, passed away at home on Friday, September 12, 2014. Brian lived with his guardians Tim and Kim Berghorn in Copenhagen. Brian was born in Carthage on September 22, 1996, to Sherry Lynn Groff and was a 2014 graduate of Copenhagen Central School and the automotive program at BOCES. He enjoyed four-wheeling, motocross dirt biking and loved assembling models. This past summer, Brian worked at the Copenhagen School. Brian is survived by his guardians, Tim and Kim Berghorn; sisters, Briana Lynn and Brooke Almarion, Cassandra, Wendy, Nicole, Alicia and Brooke; uncles and aunts, Carl and Jeanie Groff, Jr, Mannsville, Terry and JoAnn Groff, Russell and Cheryl Groff and Kerry and Susan Colton all of Copenhagen; his dog Tucker and several cousins and two nieces. He was predeceased by his mother, Sherry. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at the River of Life Church in Copenhagen at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor George Grey officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. to 2:30 P.M. prior to the funeral. Burial will be at the Woodside Cemetery in Belleville.
