Obituary

LOWVILLE - Bonnie L. Cobb, 64, of Holland Patent, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 5, 2015.

Based on her belief of helping others, Bonnie had requested her body be donated to the Central NY Eye & Tissue Bank. Bonnie was born on November 19, 1950, to Donald O. and June M. Rook Edick in Lowville and graduated from Lowville Academy & Central School. She started working for Lewis County in Real Property Tax, transferred for a short time to the Treasury Department and then retired as a Real Property Tax Specialist after 31 years.

She was married to Joseph A. Cobb on April 20, 1968, in Glenfield. Bonnie had resided in Holland Patent near her daughter, Brenda for the past three years. Because of her universal blood type, Bonnie was an avid blood donor for the Red Cross. Bonnie was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and volunteered as Treasurer for Lowville Pop Warner.

She especially loved to spend time with her family, attend her grandchildren sporting events and travel.

Bonnie is survived by her three daughters: Bethany & Daniel Slifka of Glenfield, Janis Cobb of Turin and Brenda & Ian Brucker of Holland Patient; her parents, Donald & June Edick of West Martinsburg; grandchildren: Daniel & Mickela, Dylan, Michael & Jessica, Justin & Shelby, Gabriel, Marlysa, Chloe, Naythan, Jacob, Andrew and Ruby; two great grandsons, Daniel III and Jonathan; four brothers: Robert & Marion of Albany, Richard & Cheryl of Electric City, WA, Gerald & Jennifer of Michigan and Jeffrey & Tammy of Lowville; five sisters: Cynthia & Henry Nortz of Lowville, Cheryl & Thomas LaLonde of Lyons Falls, Janelle & Pat Flynn of Lowville, Suzanne & Tony VerSchneider of Virginia and Debra Edick of Connecticut and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son, Joseph W. Cobb.
