LOWVILLE - Betty E. Sullivan, 81, of Lanpher Street, died on Saturday, May 7, 2011, at Lewis County General Hospital. Mrs. Sullivan was born in Barnes Corners on April 24, 1930, the daughter of the late Edgar Henry and Mertie M. Waite Normander. In 1950, Betty graduated from Lowville Academy and on August 25, 1952, she was married to Lawrence R. Sullivan with the Rev. John A. Cotter, officiating. Mr. Sullivan died on February 1, 1974. Mrs. Sullivan was a communicant of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Lowville and was a life member of the Lewis County Memorial Post #6912 V.F.W. Auxiliary. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting. A graveside service will be conducted on Monday, May 16, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Lowville Rural Cemetery with Rev. Ronald J. Pominville, Deacon officiating. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are with the Sundquist Funeral Home. Mrs. Sullivan is survived by her daughter Ann Callaghan of Lowville; a sister-in-law, Grace Normander of Lowville; two grandchildren, Larry V. Callaghan of Lowville and Cheri L. Callaghan of Turin and four great grandchildren, Blake, Breckin and Alyssa Callaghan of Lake Placid and Darrell Branchaud of Turin, and a nephew Bruce H. Normander of Lowville.
