Barbara J. Turck

Barbara J. Turck, age 62, died peacefully on Monday, August 17, 2026, at the Wynn Hospital in Utica, NY.

Born on November 1, 1963, in Lowville, NY, to the late Dennis and Joann (Remington) Spann, Barbara graduated from Lowville High School in 1981. 

She married Rodney Turck on January 19, 1985, in Belfort, NY. She retired from BOCES in Tompkins County in 2021, where she worked as a Information Technology teacher.

Barbara loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren, and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband, Rodney Turck of Croghan; her sons, Kenneth Turck and Scott Turck of Croghan, and Robert Turck of Watertown; her six grandchildren; her sister, Geraldine Ritz of Lowville; and her half-brother, Dennis Morrison of Lyons Falls.

Per her wishes, services will be held privately by her family.
