LOWVILLE - Arthur W. "Art" Bowman, Sr., 72,
of Lowville Heights, died Wednesday morning, December 9, 2015 at Lewis County Residential Health Care Facility under the care of Lewis County Hospice.
Art was born on April 15, 1943 in Oneida the son of the late Edward and Alice (Hammond) Bowman, where he attended school. He went to work at a young age and held several jobs, but mostly as a custodian.
A life long resident of the North Country he was formerly of Copenhagen where he lived with his wife Karen, who died on September 3, 2006.
Arthur enjoyed working on cars and had a joking personality.
He is survived by his three children, Raymond Holton, Danielle, Arthur W. Bowman, Jr.; his step children, Pam Stewart, Maria Otero, Pablo Otero, Miguel Otero, Juan Miguel; four brothers, Albert, Richard, James, and William; three sisters, Margaret, Kathleen and Eunice; his ex-wife, Christi Bowman.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Edward, Francis, and Ralph, two sisters, Marylee and Doris.
Calling hours for family and friends will be on Friday, December 11th at the Sundquist Funeral Home from 6 to 8:00 P.M.
Burial will be private.
His family would like to thank all of the 4th floor nursing staff and social workers, and Lewis County Hospice.
