PORT LEYDEN - Alyssa R. Johnson, 22, died peacefully Sunday, June 15, 2014 at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse with her family at her side. Alyssa was born November 10, 1991 in Lowville the daughter of Larry H. Johnson and Donna M. Augustyn where she graduated from South Lewis Central School in 2009. She was currently working at Camp Aldersgate in Brantingham helping with buildings and grounds. Alyssa loved the outdoors, gardening, growing flowers, fishing and camping with her father at Whitaker Park. Her real love in life was her son. Surviving are her son, Brendon Cobb of Port Leyden; her father Larry and his companion Dena Starkey of Port Leyden; her mother and step-father, Donna and Bruce Bandych of Carthage; her brother, Cameron Johnson and his girl friend Miranda Main and their daughter, Annabelle of Port Leyden; her step-brother, Jordan Bandych and his girl friend Ariel Marengo and their children, Brahm, Vaughn, and Eilley of Stillwater, OK; her paternal grandmother, Charlotte Johnson of Talcottville; maternal grandfather, David and JoAnna Augustyn of Glenfield; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is predeceased by her grandmother, Janet M. Augustyn, and grandfather, Howard Johnson. As Alyssa would say, "Love ya, to the moon and back" Her burial will be in Old Glendale Cemetery with Rev. William McLoughlin, officiating.
