TURIN - Albert "Larry" Tapp, Jr., 82, of Turin Road, unexpectedly passed away while on a fishing trip to Black Lake on Thursday, September 27, 2012, at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center. Larry was born on August 3, 1930, in Englewood, NJ, a son of Albert L. and Mary Tapp, Sr. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Marine Corps League #754 and Memorial Post 6912 V.F.W. Larry owned and operated Larry Tapp Contracting as a certified electrician who worked in heating, venting and air-conditioning for years in the Nanuet area. Larry is survived by his present wife, Karen M. Kliewe Tapp, whom he married on January 22, 1997, in New City, NY. The couple settled in the Turin area because of their love of the outdoors. They enjoyed many activities together including snowmobiling, down-hill skiing, wind surfing and taking trips on their motorcycle. Larry was a member of the Second Generation Motorcycle Club and a past member of the Ramapo Ski Club. He and his late first wife, Joan were parents of Lorri Jacobellis of Portland, OR; Penni Scaccio of New City and Christopher Tapp also of Portland. His second wife was Joan Meredith and his step-children are John Tomani and Kristine DiMartino both of Warwick. Other survivors are his sister and husband, Dolores and John Lodico of New City and five grandchildren. Family and friends may call on Tuesday, October 2nd from 6-8 p.m. at the Sundquist Funeral Home, 7676 N. State Street, Lowville, NY, where a memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. by the Marine Corps League and V.F.W. Funeral services for Larry will be held on Wednesday, October 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, Rev. Samuel P. Lundy, Anglican Priest officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Turin Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Larry's name to: Lewis County Marine Corps, P.O.
