LOWVILLE - Longtime Lowville resident, Agnes J. McConville passed away on Monday, February 25, 2013, at the Lewis County Residential Health Care Facility. Agnes recently celebrated her 101tst birthday on February 12th at the nursing home facility where she had resided for one year after she was unable to maintain her own home on Stewart Street. She was the daughter of the late Patrick and Anna McLean Reape born in the year 1912, in Montague. In 1930, Agnes graduated from Lowville Free Academy and from Utica School of Commerce. She was employed for many years by C.H. Arthur Motor Sales in Lowville as bookkeeper. She was married to Francis F. McConville on September 12, 1947, at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Francis died on March 15, 1977. Agnes was a member and communicant of St. Peter's Catholic Church and a member of Lowville Senior Citizens. Surviving Agnes are nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by her brothers, H. Leo and Francis Reape and her sister, Anna Strife. A graveside service will be conducted in the spring at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery, New Boston. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the Lewis County Humane Society.
